How We Spread LOV

Sandwich Run

Sandwich Run is a national service initiative with local roots. Starting as an annual event at the AUC, our signature Sandwich Run transformed from a yearly event to a weekly event, averaging over 500 meals made and distributed per week.

Toiletry Drives

While LOV provides much needed food services every week, we identified a need for additional resources, especially during the spring. With help from volunteers and partners, we have been able to provide quality toiletry and hygiene products to thousands in need.

Clothing Drives

During the Fall months, LOV's "Cover the Hood" initiative takes place. We collect then distribute clean high quality winter clothing and bedding items for individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity. In 2021, LOV committed hundreds of pounds in clothing to survivors of the tropical storm and earthquake plaguing families in Haiti.

Voter Registration

LOV believes in the importance of keeping citizens informed. During election seasons, we work to register and inform Georgia voters. We have helped register over hundreds voters during the 2020 and 2022 election cycle.

Other LOV Programs

LOV Mentorship

Lifting Our Voices' mentorship program stemmed from a desire to empower young students and help them navigate through life's obstacles. By creating a partnership with Utopian Academy for the Arts, Lifting Our Voices has been able to directly impact the lives of young Black men.
